I have seen the book, but I didnt pay too much attention to it. WRONG!!!... I should have read it sooner, because now is one of my favorites. I mean, it has it all, mystery, a little bit of action, fantasy, a gorgeous boy (yes, I love Damen), and a lot of romance.
I just couldnt stop reading, I sat dawn and I didnt stop. It was so good, everything about Damen, Drina and Ever... beside the Ryley story....Great!!
An awesome book, a really original story, great characters, excellent writting... in other words: ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL....
Is something worth of reading, over and over again...

Ever is a depressed sixteen-year old who
lives with her aunt. Besides the fact that her parents, sister, and dog
died in a car accident; that she can see people's auras; and that she
can hear everyone's thoughts, she's a pretty normal teenager. Oh, and
she can talk to her dead little sister, too.

Ever now lives with
the guilt that she caused her family's deaths, and tries her best to
block out the world with her hooded sweatshirts and blaring iPod. Then,
Damen, a new student shows up at school. Who just happens to be
mysterious, charming, and extraordinarily handsome. All of the girls
drool over him. Except for Ever. She keeps her distance and refuses to
associate with him, even after her two best friends Miles and Haven
urge her to go talk to him. Until one day, when Ever finally takes a
good look at him the first thing she notices...she can't read his
thoughts
or see his aura!

Wherever
Ever goes, Damen seems to be there too, with a tulip in hand. And even
as she does her best to stay away, she finds herself drawn to him and
falling for him. However the more she learns about his past and
secrets, she's not so sure he is who she thinks he is...

This
novel was really unpredictable, which I love to find in a book. I'd
make a prediction with what would happen next, and end up being wrong.
I've also never read a story about a psychic teenager who can talk to
her dead sister, which was also pretty interesting :) I thought that
the storyline was very creative and well-thought out. I liked the
diversity of personalities for all of the characters, too - especially
Miles, her gay best friend, and Haven, her gothic other best friend.

However,
I think that the first half of the book was much better than the second
half. Throughout the story, the author plants many questions in the
reader's head about who Damen really is. Even after finishing the book,
I still had a lot of questions that were unanswered. Hopefully I'll
understand better in the sequel. Also, it seemed like too much
information was suddenly shoved down my throat during the last few
chapters. It was a lot to process and try to understand in a short
amount of writing.

There were great things and not-so-great
things about this book, but overall I enjoyed it. The twist at the end
was great, and I think this is a must-read for lovers of paranormal
romance meets fantasy.

At first, I thought the Immortal series had something to do with vampires so I was so psyched to read it because everyone knows that vampires are in right now. Unfortunately, it wasn't about vampires. Evermore is about something far more precious and unique than vampires so I wasn't overly disappointed. In fact, I was pretty glad got a copy.

What I loved about Evermore was the plot. I loved how Alyson created something completely different than the norm: the Immortals. Unlike today's popular supernatural stuff like werewolves, vampires, zombies and ghosts, Alyson creates a whole new category and that makes me extremely excited. :)

What I didn't like about Evermore were the not too few loose ends. It seemed like the Immortals weren't really descibed and I wish that there were more information about the Immortals like their speed, how they came to be, etc. The only real info that I got about the Immortals were 1) extremely fast 2) create dreams 3) immortal (duh!) 4) they can be killed and 5) have magic. Besides that, there weren't too many details. Are there other Immortals? If there's Immortals, are there other "supernatural" out there as well?]

The characters, Ever and Damen, were pretty well developed. Their relationship, though, is kind of shaky. It was founded on secrets, mysteries and hidden pasts so I'm not surprised if their relationship does end up in a moot - but I hope not though. :)

Overall, Evermore has a new paranormal being and so I encourage everyone to grab a copy and find out more about the Immortals!

The beginning of this book did start out like the typical book with her family dying in a tragic car accident, however, I thought that her being able to see her sister was a nice little twist. Books these days revolve around teenage girls and vampires (don't get me wrong, I like them), but this book took a different twist with the whole "immortals" thing. It was refreshing.
It kind of aggravated me because of all the suspense with Damen, though. I really thought that he was going to turn out as a vampire, though. So it was well worth it.

I can't wait to read the next book.

I expected a lot while reading Evermore because everyone was REALLY excited. And I will admit that I was a little disapointed. I got tired of Ever blaming herself for her family's death. It's obvious that it wasn't but she still wallows in self pity. Oh and why was she always against Ava. She was just trying to help her. But god forbid someone is nice to Ever. Beside those minor flaws Evermore was fantastic. Oh and if this book ever said anyone was a vampire I was gonna punch them in their fictional face. I was expecting something different, thankfully this wasn't needed. The whole idea that Ever had these great mind reading powers that annoyed her was interesting. I would have loved those powers but Ever was different. But of course Damen is the only person that could penetrate her tough exterior. Thanks Damen for making Ever fall head over heels. Am I the only one that gets annoyed at books with boys that are all a girl thinks about? I got over that though and the ending was very well crafted and I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
