Fade, Dream Catcher (Wake) trilogy book two, Janie and Cabel struggle to keep up with Janie's ability to catch other people's dreams. But a what cost? She would find out on a green notebook written by Martha Stubin, another fellow dream catcher. The Story picks up shorty after Wake ended. Janie and Cabel are on a new and more dangerous mission, to catch a sexual predator(s) lurking on Fieldridge High. With this case, Cabel finds himself overprotective of Janie. He, who is foreign to love, doesn't want anything bad happening to her; she is his safety net. He has to face so hidden battles and demons. Janie's life will take a dramatic turn when she discover what happens to dream catchers. Their struggles will put their relationship on a cliff. Should they fight to stay on it or should they decide to jump and end what they have?

Fade is a bit different than Wake; it deals with tougher, darker subjects, like sexual predators, alcoholism, life changing decisions, etc. With is why, I love it even more. Janie seems more mature. I like how she looks up to Captain, like the interested adult every teen needs. The writing continues to be wonderful like the flow of a river. It just so easy to read is like your breathing the story. I really enjoy the development of Janie and Cabel's relationship. It left be breathless and warm and fussy inside. Thou, I want to know more about the other characters, like Janie's mom, she just seems nonexistent, but is looks like she has potential to be something more then the drunk mother who doesn't knows nothing. Now, her father, who is he? where has he been all these years? McMann continues to impress me with her creativity, love her writing style. I so want to read Gone. 4.5 Stars
