FAIRIES delivers exactly what it promises to deliver--a thorough resources on fairies and the folklore surrounding them across the globe. Part One examines fairy characteristics, behavior, relationships with humans, and fairy tales. Part Two looks at fairy folklore from a variety of cultures. The wealth of fascinating information is beautifully laid out around quotes, illustrations, and little information boxes that give an example from a specific fairy tale. I love this book now, and I would've loved it as a child. The index makes looking up individual fairies simple, and the bibliography adds research value for the reader who wants to delve deeper into the subject.

A thoroughly researched, beautifully presented book makes FAIRIES the perfect resource for readers young and old who are fascinated by fairies and the folklore surrounding them.
