Finding Fire was a very unique read for my children and I.
There is little to no words in the story. More like a brief explanation in the beginning, as a "how we got here" type of thing.
It was a neat experience to read this with my kids and have them tell the story by looking at the illustrations.
I rather enjoyed the illustrations, my children felt they were a bit washed out, or drab, at first until they got further along in the story.
I had flashbacks to The Never Ending Story (you know the part), when the little mammoth got stuck in the tar pit. Thankfully, Finding Fire had a happier ending.
Finding Fire is a fun and insightful adventure that I'm happy I got to experience with my kids.
