I have been waiting for this book for what seems like forever. After reading the third book and realizing there was another, I have been anxious to get my hands on Foretold. And my oh my, Jana Oliver did not disappoint me. This entire series is completely and entirely unique, and if you haven’t read the first three books, you will definitely want to before you read this final book. In order to get the full effect, you need to read the entire story, trust me. It’s not just a book you can pick up and enjoy without having read the rest. I love the entire series deals with a real Heaven and Hell, and everything in between. Angels (good and bad), Demons (of all levels), Demi-gods, the Vatican, etc, they are all there!

I was so excited when I heard that we would learn more about Beck`s background in this book. Beck is such a unique character and I could not wait to read and learn more about him. If you’ve been wondering why Beck acts the way he does, talks the way he does, and just how he became Beck in general, this book has all the answers. Beck has a troubled past, which we learned from previous books, but actually getting to learn the specifics made my heart ache for him. There were a few surprises thrown into his back story, and I enjoyed them all! I love how we get to read how Riley experiences and learns more about Beck’s past. The whole situation made me adore both characters even more.

Riley is still strong, brave and an awesome role model for young girls. I have really enjoyed her story and I’m so sad that it is over. She grows even more in this book and as in the past books, my heart ached for her because she has had to go through so much and endure so much, yet she comes out so positively each time. In this book she struggles with trusting Beck with her feelings for him. The entire book I was shouting “just tell him Riley!” She also struggles with her oath to Ori and what that means for her future (and Beck’s).

This book stays true to the Demon Trappers novels before it. If you enjoyed the previous three, you will enjoy this one as well. I was completely satisfied with the ending and appreciate how well Jana Oliver ended the series. I look forward to her future works!

I'm a huge fan of THE DEMON TRAPPER'S DAUGHTER series. I was so excited to meet the author Jana Oliver at RWA Nationals back in July. When she promised the fate of Beck and Riley would be told in this book, I couldn't wait to get a copy!

Let's just say I wasn't disappointed!

This time around we find out the dark secret Beck's been carrying around with him. Master Trapper Stewart drafts Riley to go with Beck to South Georgia, to help him care for his dying mother. But there's a lot more going on then Beck has let on. More secrets are revealed in this very satisfying conclusion to this successful paranormal series.

There is so much to love about this series. The characters are multi-layered with flaws and strengths. Beck is a successful demon trapper but his past has been holding him back from the one thing he craves: love and acceptance. Riley is tough and can kick some mega demon butt but deep down inside she misses her father. Another character I love is Master Trapper Stewart with his Scottish brogue and his no nonsense approach to life and dealing with the demons of Atlanta.

I love Beck and Riley's on again/off again relationship, which has been through some very dark times. The chemistry between these two is very intense. Dark angel, Ori, is still in the picture too. This time around he's more chilling and dark. The scene where Riley is brought to Lucifer's presence is very haunting. It's then that she has to make a choice; whether to trust Beck and the Trappers or go on alone.

Fast-paced action with romance that goes through hell literally. The unique and at times punchy dialogue tantalizes readers, having them crave more. I know it did with me! The only disappointment I have is that this series is now over. Can't wait for any other works by Jana Oliver!
Good Points
1. Satisfying conclusion to Demon Trapper's Daughter series
2. Love Beck and Riley
