Book #2 of the Secret Hero Society does not disappoint. Fans of Study Hall of Justice will not be disappointed. Book 2 begins during Ducard Academy's summer break. Our favorite hero, Clark, Bruce, and Diana have all received invitations to attend the Evergreen Adventure Camp. This camp is nothing like it first appears, and our favorite trio can't figure out what is going on. At camp they meet Ollie Greenm Louise Lincoln, Priscilla Rich, and Selena Kyle just to name a few. But while the gang meets some new friends (and some not so nice camp bullies), strange things begin to happen. Campers are going missing and the counselors don't even seem to notice. The trio will need a lot of help to discover who or what is behind all these disappearances.

Getting to see my favorite DC characters solve mysteries and crimes and children is a fun treat. Reminiscent of the old school Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys mysteries, the story lines are fast paced with some plot twists thrown in for fun. The illustrations are fantastic and the story is told through a mixture of narrative (through Clark's journals), comic book strips, messages, and artifacts Clark finds throughout the camp.

This is a great read for young readers and fans of the DC comic universe. A great series for reluctant readers who love these great DC characters.
