My children really enjoyed reading and spotting their way through this book.
The plot is based around Bella and her friend Sam who bring home a tomato plant from school, how the must plant it outside and protect it so it can grow. This leads Bella to give Sam a tour around her farmstead.
It is an adorable and relatable story for children of all ages.
The illustrations are fantastic. I love how the cut outs appear to be one thing on a certain spread, then turns out to be something entirely different on the next; ie.: a striped ball to a seat cushion, or spilled red balls to tomatoes.
The items to spot are nice. They are the perfect blend of ease and challenge, giving slightly older kids the opportunity to interact with the story.
