Gabriel was an interesting follow up to The Styclar Saga. It started where book 1 ended with Lailah accepting her dark and light side as one. Unfortunately, Lailah also had no memory of Jonah.

I found book 1 quite enjoyable and would have enjoyed book 2 equally but when Gabriel wasn't willing to accept Lailah's dark side, that was kind of annoying. And also when Lailah refused to drink human blood just make Gabriel happy even though it would eventually kill was also ridiculous. But once you get past all that the plot was still interesting.

I liked Ruadhan even more (if that was possible) because he is so fatherly, nice and supportive of Lailah. Surprisingly even Brooke is more accepting and friendlier with Lailah. Bringing in new characters to the series also made the book more interesting.

The end of the book worked out nicely and I am really looking forward to see what happens in book 3! This is definitely a must read for fans of book 1 of The Styclar Saga and fantasy lovers!
