Galapagos Islands The World's Living Laboratory is a non-fiction chapter book aimed at middle-grade readers. This book explores the ecosystem of the Galapagos Islands and its environmental challenges.
What I Liked: As a school librarian, I see the need for engaging and informative non-fiction for middle schoolers, and this book fulfills that need wonderfully. The book contains 64 pages of well-researched information accompanied by vivid illustrations that illustrate the island's beauty. In particular, I appreciate the book's focus on various scientists working on the island. As I read this book, I learned so many new things, but my favorite part was learning about the research of these amazing scientists. Also, I appreciate the book's exploration of environmental challenges and their impact on the animals living there.
