Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill
Release Date: November 2012
Meant to be or not meant to be . . . that is the question.
It’s one thing to fall head over heels into a puddle of hazelnut coffee, and quite another to fall for the—gasp—wrong guy. Straight-A junior Julia may be accident prone, but she’s queen of following rules and being prepared. That’s why she keeps a pencil sharpener in her purse and a pocket Shakespeare in her, well, pocket. And that’s also why she’s chosen Mark Bixford, her childhood crush, as her MTB (“meant to be”).
But this spring break, Julia’s rules are about to get defenestrated (SAT word: to be thrown from a window) when she’s partnered with her personal nemesis, class-clown Jason, on a school trip to London. After one wild party, Julia starts receiving romantic texts . . . from an unknown number! Jason promises to help discover the identity of her mysterious new suitor if she agrees to break a few rules along the way. And thus begins a wild goose chase through London, leading Julia closer and closer to the biggest surprise of all: true love.
Because sometimes the things you least expect are the most meant to be.

When she’s not writing, she spends a lot of hours getting knocked around playing roller derby.

I want to believe there is but from experience I don’t think so. Maybe everyone will meet their “meant to be” someday but many people won’t.
I’d like to think that everyone has a potential “meant to be” person but I also think that they may not necessarily find them.
Yeah. Maybe it’s a celeb crush.:D
Nah…I think everything depends….
I hope so!:)
Yes, I so believe in Meant to Be!
absolutely! (:
I think we do, but sometimes some of us are so closed off that we don’t see him/her and they pass us by.
I definitely think everyone has at least one if not more “meant to be”s in the world.
For me, yes. But I can see a few “meant to be”s for people, depending on what circumstances bring them where they are, or if their first love dies or something. But I’m with my meant to be and I can’t imagine being with anyone else.
no.
It’s a nice thought.
I’d like to think so
Most definitely. We all have someone who is meant for us. It’s just a matter of time when we meet them and when we do it’s like our eyes open for the first time. We see everything in a different light, and it feel so wonderful!
I’m not sure that everyone has a “meant to be” but I’d like to hope so. 🙂
That’s a hard question. Maybe everyone has a MTB, but how do you know that the person you’re with is your MTB? It’s a mindboggler.
Yes I found mine and we have been married 12 years!!!:D
I wish.
Nope! Every decision you make everyday determines where you’ll be. There is nothing that is simply “meant to be”
Definitely, there is someone for everyone!
Yes, I believe everyone has someone out there that is meant only for them.
I definitly think every person on this plant has that one “meant to be” and I found mine. We love each other unconditionally and are going to celebrate 13 years of marriage in September. We actually met on the Internet and it was the first time my Husband had ever been in a chat room and I was the first person he talked to and the last person he chatted with. It has been true bliss ever since. We have a 11, going on 12, going on 25. We created her out of love and waited until we were married to try to have a baby and she is our Princess and we also have a four legged child that my husband was given for free, a Puggle, when he was at a house delivering a pizza, and her name is Diva, and she sure lives up to that name. So yes, I truly believe there is that one and only, meant to be, but I believe that most of the time people do not see what is right in front of their face and lose that one person that was meant to be with them.
