Though I am not a particular fan of the style of this book, many are. Peter Reynolds is a beloved illustrator by many, and his brother has written a short story to team with his work that, in a very small space, plants a seed of creativity and inspiration that will, surely, motivate children to aim above and beyond the staus quo.
A young boy and girl, after having been given instructions to build a go-cart, decide to team up and come up with something that no one--not even they--expected. I appreciated this subtle commentary on breaking the rules when it is both feasible and not wrong to do so, and on dreaming bigger and better than you thought possible.
