This book was... average. A little too much on the... girly side, for me, but maybe it's just that I'm not that girly. I guess it's a good read, but pretty boring until the end. It feels as if the whole start is an introduction waiting for the end, which was pretty cool, actually. I don't remember very much of the book, but I just remember those feelings when I read this book. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, though, unfortunately...

It's great to have some new characters in the Gossip Girl series. In this spin-off, we meet the Carlyle triplets: Owen, Avery, and Baby. Avery is a bit hard to figure out. She wants to fit in and is desperate to do so, but not as likable because she's not nice to her sister even when she stands up for her. Owen is very likable, he has a Nate quality about him while also reminding me of what we've heard about Serena's brother (in the book series, not the TV show where he's just a kid!). Plus, we see a sensitive side to him pining over a lost love/one-night stand who happens to be the gf of his new friend.

I love how the family isn't thrilled with the townhouse and I cracked up reading about the impossible to remove college sticker that Blair had put up.

I am hoping to read more about thee characters and predict we'll see Jack and Avery becoming a bit Blair & Serena like.
