This book was interesting, kind of confusing though, switching between characters to tell a story. Yet the plot was well developed, Rose and the new boy Asher want to escape, and live life, and when they do, they realize that its difficult. When they meet this couple and their daughter they have fun being free, but know its time to go back home. On the way home they get into a car crash (of course there has to be something dramatic, what fun would it be if Asher and Rose got home without a scratch?). In the end, both Asher and Rose are okay and back home living life.

our year 10 class found this book very boring and our group hated it. most of us just quit reading it half way through and it didnt get our attention at all.

i think that the author could have tried harder and the editors with the punctuation coz it would have made us understand it more....it sucked big time....

I'm so glad I came across this book. It was unlike anything I have ever read. You get into the minds and doings of every relevent character in the story. It was so well-written and original. I loved it.
Its about Rosie, a 15 year old girl tired of her life in her town, where everything is the same. Then she meets the new boy, Asher. He feels left out and alone here and at school. He looks and dresses different, but Rosie likes him. They become friends and also with Rosie's friend Pip. Then Asher decides he needs a break from here and wants to escape. This new place is not for him. Rosie wants to go with him. This isn't the first atttempt at leaving by Asher.
So they embark on a journey together with just the bare necessities. They pick up rides and camp out, while meeting a new amazing hippie family that give them a ride. Rosie and Asher love each other and they are the perfect match. Thier parents are worried and then they both miss home. Thier parents send out a police search and they are found. They are on thier way home until a terrible shock comes that may change everything, bringing a lot of broken hearts, regrets, and unsaid goodbyes.
You understand the feelings of every character and what is happening at the same time with everyone's life and how it all connects. It is amazingly written. What a fabulous read. I couldn't put it down at all!
