HAP-PEA VALENTINE'S DAY is a sweet picture book read, featuring the Peas. Instead of the alphabet, this time the Peas are talking and rhyming about hearts.
What I loved: This book is very fun and themed towards Valentine's day and love. It features all kinds of hearts along with the adorable Peas on each page. The book ends with an "I love you," making it a fun one to share with beloved little ones. The rhymes add to the fun of reading aloud and sound great to little ears. Colorful pages and familiar characters make this a good choice for Peas fans.
What left me wanting more: As a small thing, some of the text felt a bit awkward/missed the rhythm and did not really roll off the tongue smoothly, creating some verbal stumbles. The book also uses the text as word art in places, so there is also a bit of hunting to make sure you have read it all and in order, which will improve with repetition.
Final verdict: HAP-PEA VALENTINE'S DAY is a sweet picture book that celebrates the holiday and hearts along with the delightful Peas. Recommend for young fans of the series.
