The little girl was very cute and I loved her trying on different costumes to see what would be perfect for Halloween. I thought it was funny how she imagined herself as a cat to her mom being a witch. There isn't much to the story as a whole though. Each page is only a couple lines of her trying on an outfit and not agreeing on it until she finds the perfect one. It was a bit too simple and straightforward for my taste, but the 4yo loved it. She loved all the costumes and thought the ending was really funny. I appreciated the contrast of the illustrator's drawings mixed in with real/felt background and props, giving it like a 3-D/diorama kind of look. It's different.
