Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the third book in the series of seven. In this book, Harry accidently causes his aunt to inflat during the summer break then runs away from his aunt and uncle. He ends up in Diagon Alley, an all Wizarding town, where he meets the Minister of Magic. Harry thought he would get in trouble for performing underage Wizardry on his aunt, but the Minister seems more interested in Harry's safety. Harry couldn't think why the Minister would be so worried about him that he would actually go searching for him. A Wizard had escaped from Azkaban, the Wizard prison... But Harry couldn't think of what that had to do with him.

While Harry was staying in Diagon Alley, Ron and his family came to stay before the end of the summer break. He accidently heard Ron's parents talking about whether or not they should tell Harry that the prisoner who had escaped from Azkaban was a friend of his parents and was the one who betrayed them to dark Wizard who murdered them.

Even though Harry was upset about what he over heard, school started and was going pretty well. One day while Harry, Ron and Hermione were visiting Hagrid, a big black dog attacked Ron and pulled him under the Whomping Willow, a tree that swung it's branched when you got to near, and through a passage. Of course, Harry and Hermione followed. The dog actually turned out to be the escaped prisoner; he was able to turn into an animal at will.

The prisoner turned out to be Harry's godfather and didn't murder his parents. He had proof that it was actually his parent's other friend who betrayed them.

I could keep going, but I dont want to ruin it completely! The story starts getting very interesting in this book. I've read it several times (along with all the other Harry Potter books!) and would definately recommend it.

I think this is the best book from J.K.R. I have nothing against other books but this book isnt only about Voldemort and so on.It is about friendship,news about harry and it is full of action.

i would say that this is the best out of all the harry potters! absolutely fabulous, great mystery and twist! must read for all harry potter lovers!! you can never be too old to read harry potter, my mum loves it!

This book is one of the best books in the series of Harry Potter. The detail in this book is what makes it so good. The characters in the book like Sirius and the Proffesor are great I wished one of them didn't have to die. Overall I think this book is great.

So, the third book begins.

In this book, the so called serial killer named Sirius Black is supposedly after harry. But his real target is acually ron's rat, who is acually a human being animugis. Black, who can also tranform into a big black dog, tries to get into hogwarts to get scrabbers. Scrabbers turns out to be a friend of Black's and Harry's father, and a traitor. He was the one who ratted on harry's parents and got them killed. In the end, Black turns out to be Harry's legal Guardian and Ron brakes his leg. Of anyones interested in fantasy, this is the book for you.

I absolutly loved this book it was great!!! I'm 13 but everyone should read it. The plot is so exciting and fun to read about. I think Hermonie is very smart but should settle down a bit, I don't think she's a show off like everyone says. Ron is so funny. I thought I could hate someone that was only in my imagination but I hate professer Snape.

Why does he have to be so mean to Harry and all the Griffendors. Sometimes I feel bad for Hagrid because he's so big but he's so lovable and kind to Harry. I thought it was so suprising how Sirus really didn't ....oooppps, well anyway this is a book you HAVE to read. So go read it,go.

This book is one of the best books I've ever read. It's all about a boy named Harry Potter and his two friends Ron and Hermoine. Harry plays a wizard game called Quiditch played on broomsticks. and he plays the seeker witch the game is all up to him. So what he and his friends do is they are always getting into trouble with his least favorite teacher Snape, and his least favorie enemy Malfloy.

Harry's dad had a friend who got put in jail for murdering nine people with one spell, but the thing is that he is innocent it was realy his friend Ron's pet rat , Scabers, who turned himself into a rat and his real name is Petter and he was the one that killed Harry's parents when he was just a baby. And so what they did was they captured him and were going to prove Sirus' innocence.

But on there way to the castle Harry got traped by the Dementors, witch are body guards for the prison Azkaban. And Petter got away and Sirus got into prison again, but Harry and Heroime went back in time and rescude Sirus and the hippogrith Buckbeak and know he and Buckbeak are in hiding.

I am 13 yrs old and all I have got to say is that J.K.Rowling has done a fabulous work in the book Harry Potter And Prisoner Of Azkaban. Harry is in his third year at Hogwarts but there is a prisoner escaped from the Azkaban and Harry comes to know that man Sirius Black was his father's best friend and had betrayed him but later comes to know that ....ooops!!! I shouldn't spoil the story for the readers who haven't read this book and I would request them to read it.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the sequel to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It's about a boy called Harry Potter that is living with his aunt and uncle. His mother and father were killed by an evil sorcerer called Voldemort. His aunt and uncle don't really like him because of the fact that he uses magic.

The reason why they're so happy during the school season is because Harry goes to a school called Hogwarts, a school for witchcraft and wizardry and doesn't come back until the summer vacation. While at school, he discovers a lot of things. One example would be he discovers a supposed criminal is actually his Godfather. A great book!

I know some people dislike Harry Potter books, so I wish to offend no one. Just hear me out! This book is the most exciting, most interesting book I have ever had the pleasure to read! It is about a young wizard attending his third year at Hogwarts, the wizarding school. He hears of Sirius Black escaping Azkaban, the wizard prison.

No on has ever escaped before! Everyone fears Black and, to Harry's surprise, he overhears a conversation about Sirius Black looking for him! Mysterious gifts show up with no clue of who sent them, strange happenings at Hogwarts, and the Dementors (the guards of Azkaban, assigned to protect Hogwarts from Black) seem to hate Harry! What is Harry's fate? Read the books and find out!!!!!!!!!!
