If you haven't read Harry Potter yet wake up from you coma and get it in gear!!
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is the first book in the 7 book series. In this book Harry finds out hes a wizard and is taken away from his awful home. He makes friends with Ron and Hermoine and takes on the task of saving Hogwarts from the evil wizard Voldemort and retrieving the Sorcerer's Stone.
This is my least favorite book in the series. Its a little immature and childish but as the series continues it only gets better and better!

This book is truly a masterpeice. Author Jo Rowling truly proves that there are no limits for your imagination. The first of what would soon prove to be one of the most successful book series for young adults this book is, as I said earlier, a masterpeice. It tells a story of a young boy finding a world he never expected , and breaking free of a world he always hated.

The Harry Potter books are something everyone can enjoy. My 24 year old cousin still reads them! :D J.K Rowling is very talented and she definately sparks the imagination of young readers. This is a must-read. I'm surprised I haven't read books 4 and 5 yet! :o

this is one of the best books i have ever laid my eyes on. the whole harry potter series is. j.k. rowling you ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
in this book, harry is entered into hagwarts school of wicth craft and all that stuff. well harry finally gets to leave uncle vernon and dudley and aunt petuina. he learns some about himsefl and meets 2best friends. harmorne and ron.
when i first heard about this book, it was when i was in the second grade and my brothers first grade teacher had read it to them. he loved the book so much i got it for him. i tried reading it one, twice, three times but i couldnt come trough with it. i just hated it. when i entered third grade after some while my teacher, mr. hall anouced he was going to read to us harry ptter and the sorcere's stone because he was very found of the books. before he started reading it, i tried to persuade him not to by telling him that it was a very boring and uninteresting book. he told me to be patient and tell me what i though about the book until i had actually read it. so he ended up reading it to us and i absolutely loved it. i told him that and he kinda made fun of me for dissing it in te first place. that where my relationship with a really good book/series started.
i love this series because of all the suspence and that fact that it just makes you want to read more plus when you read it it's like your part of the book like your in the book and when you stop you just have to get back in. its like you've been put under a spell and have to continue but in a good kinda way.
i would recomend this series to anyone 10+ because at that age you can actually tell whats going on around you and understand it giving you the advantage of understanding the book better.

Harry potter. The book about a young kid, without parents, without friends, in a devastating family life, and completely unaware of his special power. The one thing that makes him different from everyone else, is the one thing that lets him escape to a life he always dreamed of. After he learned quite unexpectedly of his magical powers, Harry along with friends Ron and Hermione, go on a complete adventure saving Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry from evil beyond imagination. It is easily related to the struggles so many of us face, and only wish we could express. One you pick this up, you cant put it down. A must read for anyone in life.

If there is anyone on the face of the this planet who has not read a harry potter book, you are crazy. Perfection to the highest degree, Harry Potter is fantastically fantastic. Great literature. Harry Potter just find out he is a wizard and is swept away to this world that is freedom from his overbearing uncle and aunt. He goes to a place where he is known and respected and can be himself in all his glory. Hogwarts is a great school for self discovery.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is the first book in a series of seven. Harry went to live with his aunt and uncle after his parents supposidly died in a car crash. Harry had a cousin that was around his age and his aunt and uncle favored him compared to Harry. Harry never got birthday or Christmas presents and the only clothes he had to wear were his cousins old ones. One day when Harry was getting the mail a letter had come from him. It was odd because he never had any friends or anything who could send him letters. Harry's uncle got the letter from him before he could open it. Both his aunt and uncle looked very worried about him getting the letter.
Soon, they were recieving several letters a day. When his uncle nailed up the mail slot, they began coming through windows and down the chiminey. After a few days of this, his uncle seemed to have had a enough and thought that by leaving town for a few days whoever was sending them would not be able to find them. Eventually, the ended up in a little shack out on an island off the coast. It's then that Hagrid, a gigantic man, appears to tell Harry what he is and what really happened to his parents.
