Yes the title speaks the truth, poor Zoey Redbird get Betrayed. I liked this book but it also made me mad, because you think that the High Priestess would not be the one who is complety evil. Which is really werid but a very good climax point in the story, I would recomment this book to anyone who would love a great surprise!!! THIS IS A MUST READ FOR SURE!!! So hurry go now and get it and sit down and read it!! You'll love it.

I took a long break from this series I guess because it just did not
grab me as much as the Vampire Academy series did. I finally got book
2 in from the library and am happy I did. This one definitely drew me
in more so than Marked and I cannot wait to get book 3 to find out what
happens. Zoey was getting on my nerves a little with her flirting with
Loren, being wishy washy about her relationship with Erik and then the
whole imprinting thing with Heath. I was totally bummed out over what
happens to Stevie Rae but Im still holding out hope for a happy ending
there. If you have not read past book 1 in this series I would suggest
getting back into it as the story is really starting to pick up.

When I started to read Betrayed I expected a lot of things to happen just like in Marked, but Betrayed took me on an even wilder ride. I was constantly at the edge of my seat wondering what Zoey's original mind would come up with for the solution to the next problem that would arise. Of course Zoey also got more annoying continuing with her not cussing and using words like "poo" It just makes her sound more childish. The rest of the characters don't really annoy me. I really like Damien. He's pretty cute and is pretty much Zoey's only male friend she isn't attracted to. I definately wasn't disapointed while reading Betrayed. I actually cried once or twice, and yelled out some not so pleasant angry words because I wasn't liking what was happening. But I prefer when this happens because any book that can get me so engrossed in it that I scream must be pretty awesome and Betrayed was.

Book 2 in the House of Night Series picks up right after Book 1. The story follows Zoey as she tries to unravel a mystery of why human teenagers are being murdered. The story is mainly the same tempo as the first and dialogue keeps in tune as well. I did find it frustrating to get through it at times, simply for the fact the book is very repetitive. I found myself skimming whole pages over dialogue and back story that was more or less recycled from the first book. The story is fun and inventive, maybe it was just meant to be an actual full length book rather than a series. The frustration of re-reading how Zoey feels when her grandmother calls her a special name, makes me want to just scream. All in all, I do like the series and I am going to stick with it. This is definitely the book in the series that will make you not like the main character a bit and with the repetitive writing, you may even get a little huffy with the author(s) as well. I recommend this for mature 14 year olds and up.

I really enjoyed this book. Zoey goes through alot of situations her readers can relate to. I also enjoyed the way the book really keeps you intrested right up until the last pages of the book. Overall i would highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys vampire books or even mystery books. I can't wait to read more from P.C. Cast.

This series just keeps getting better and better! I can reread this over and over again. I can't wait to keep reading the series. Like I said before on the first book. This would be great great on the big screen and have a great chance to beat out Twilight and Harry Potter!!

Zoey has settled in at the House of Night. She feels more welcome there than she ever did in her own house. She takes over as the leader of the Dark Daughters and makes some pretty big changes to the group. She has doesn't have any trouble in the guy department either. Actually, she has to figure out how she feels about three guys. But then tragedy strikes when human teenagers are being brutally murdered and it looks like vampyres at the House of Night had something to do with it. When someone close to her dies, Zoey must figure out how to deal with grief, loss, and then even betrayal.
Oh. My. Gosh. I read this book in two days, which is really fast for me. I just could not put this book down. I loved the first book in the series, Marked, but this one was soo much more exciting and mysterious. There were more than one twist in the plot that I really didn't see coming. I definitely kept my attention. The writing and plot were great. I actually almost started crying at one point. The Casts make you feel Zoey's emotions yourself. I was really surprised at who it was that betrayed her - there was no hint at it at all in Marked. I loved Zoey's confidence and kick-butt attitude. I highly recommend this book!

I'm not entirely sure what to make of the sequel to Marked. I think I enjoyed the first novel better. Betrayed had too many changes in their characters for me to be comfortable with it. The former all-evil enemy is now someone who is scarred from her past and actually has a conscience. The motherly figure to the outcast heroine is now taken away from her. Although the book does show the "crap-ness" of growing up, I'm wondering if there was just too much in this book. Also, I had loved Erik Night from the first novel, and I don't really approve of Zoey's flirtations with Heath and Loren, a professor. I can see that Heath's human connections provide a lot of the story and that Loren's part still has a lot to tell, but it is because there is so much to tell, and nothing has been really concluded that makes this novel a hard one to finish in my mind. I guess I shall just go ahead and read Chosen and decide what I really think about this. Of course this doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy reading it. In fact, I love Zoey as the heroine. And I'm intrigued as to her growing tattooed Marks. Of course how she ended things with Neferet is a forewarning to what is to come. So I am looking forward to that. I just wish that Zoey had some more time to just rest up and adapt because this series is going at such a fast pace.
