I really do believe that the series is going at a really slow pace. It's already the third book and Zoey has only been at the House of Night for two months. She's only a third former, and there's still two to three more years. In this third book, Zoey seems to have become more like a child than she was in the first two. She makes crappy decisions. She loses sight of her own virtues that were so highly stressed before. She even loses her virginity at the age of 16, after making it clear to her boyfriend that she wasnt ready only to be seduced by an older man. Although you come to learn that he was using her and must have some emotional attachment, the bottom line is that Zoey Redbird is not living up to the heroine that she's supposed to be. Maybe the Cast team will redeem themselves for me in their next book, Untamed.
