I Feel! A Book of Emotions is a pretty straight forward approach to helping young children put a name to their big feelings.
One side of the page has a single word emotion with a related scene illustrated on the other. While I'm a little bummed that the book doesn't go into depth about the emotions, I liked that this allowed the parent, teacher, or caregiver, to open up conversation about these emotions.
The end stuck out to me the most: "All feelings are valid. It is what we do with them that matters." This is reminiscent of what I tell my children, teaching them healthy ways to handle their emotions and that it is okay to be upset - everyone is entitle to their own feelings.
