So cute, and just in time for Christmas!
This book had me at bears. From the front cover in, the artwork is gorgeous and completely adorable.
Through clever rhyming we read the story of a family of bears preparing for Christmas. From wrapping gifts to decorating the tree to baking, this family is enjoying everything the holiday has to offer. The story is told from the point of view of the little bear as she tries to tell her parents everything she loves, but also what she loves more than the trappings of Christmas--while getting interrupted at every turn by various events.
The only thing better than the images in this book is the message. It teaches that no matter how great Christmas is, it's not the most important thing. The holidays are only as good as the love that comes with them.
The writing flows so easily off the tongue and keeps kids engaged through the entire book. I can't recommend this enough as a wonderful Christmas read.
