THis book was so good. I love the poem format and it was really interesting. I felt like i got to know kaleigh and raeanne really well. I like that they were complete opposits. I think that the ending was kinda confusing. Kaleigh and Raeanne are twins and they are opposits. Their mom is running for congress so she is never home. Their dad is a judge who enjoys too much whiskey. raeanne did drugs and we learn about a sad car crash that ending up killing someonel. When the book is wrote it is after the crash, but you don't know how long after. Read esp. if you like ellen hopkins/

This book has been my favorite thus far. The technique Hopkins has is simply amazing. I would highly recommend it. I have been a fan of her work for a while, but Identical was mind-encompassing. While reading it, one cannot help but isentify and attach to the characters. As always with Hopkins, the twist is superb.

"Identical" tells the story of a set of twins, one who is abused by their father and the other who strives for her father's attention. Throughout the book, written in verse, both twins alternate in telling the story.

This book goes to show the physiological effects that such abuse have upon someone if they keep it to themselves. Dark and riveting, I was unable to stop reading. This book keeps you hanging onto the very last word, dropping hint towards the ending throughout that the reader never notices. Guaranteed to leave you with the chills at the end.
