A totally unique guide to flowers, where beautiful buds come to life as little monsters with traits and faces to make them memorable.

As someone who has a hard time remembering facts over fiction, I love this book's approach to learning. Plain old peonies and roses are forgettable, but make them into little garden monsters and somehow all of their traits are that much more memorable. And the creative designs are a great study in how to draw flowery friends, and character design in general.

I also enjoy the wholistic botanical approach, with all of the historical and cultural facts given alongside identifying features, common colors, flower symbology, and a whole lot more.

Recommend for flower lovers and those who enjoy finding the whimsy in the everyday.
