Okay, girls, you know you wanna know&what really goes on in the mind of your average guy? Anything? Nothing? Everything? Unlike Fly on the Wall, which answers the question by putting the narrator (literally) in the boys locker room, Inside the Mind of Gideon Rayburn takes us directly into the mind and innermost thoughts of said boy.

So, just who is Gideon? Hes the new kid at a fancy prep school and a little bit of an outsider hes not a rich kid by any means and he certainly doesnt feel like one of the perfect specimens he sees walking around. But the even more interesting question just who is this girl thats suddenly experiencing the transmission of every passing thought going through Gideons brain? That, Im afraid, you wont find out until the end of the novel.

Gideon finds himself saddled with two über popular roommates: Nicholas and Cullen, who also happen to be pretty morally ambiguous characters into everything from casual sex to drinking to pot smoking. And girls. Lots and lots of girls. Soon Gid finds himself in a bet to lose his virginity with Nicholas and Cullen pulling strings (sometimes for him, sometimes against him) and changing the rules all the while.

Will Gid fall in love and fulfill the bet with the feisty Molly, one of the only girls he seems to be able to talk to without saying something he regrets? Or will it be Pilar, perhaps the most beautiful girl hes ever seen in his life? Or someone else? And will the girl be the same mystery girl that has that backstage pass to his thoughts (not that Gid has any clue this is going on&.)?

This is a fun read that you wont be able to put down and Gid is a believable character hes trying to do the right thing, but hes just so full of hormones and confusion that it doesnt always come out that way. The whole mystery girl element was a little annoying for me personally why the big secret? Being inside Gids head is interesting enough, especially with the girls running commentary. But others may really relish the mystery aspect.

Recommended for readers aged 14 and up. However, if youre a parent of a prep school kid, you may not want to read this one&
