I read this book a few months ago after I read about it on amazon. I read the beginning of the book on google books and then ordered myself a copy offline, because most bookstores don't carry it in store. I concept of the book sounded unique and the format of the book was very entertaining. The story is laid out as a mystery, where the reader has to try and determine who the narrator is. For the most part, I really enjoyed this book. Some parts were a bit predictable - especially who the narrator turns out to be. I don't want to give anything away, but you see that coming a mile away. However, all in all the book was a fun and interesting read.

Wouldn't it be amazing to know exactly what the guy you like is thinking 24/7? To know what he's thinking and everything about him without him actually saying it? That'd be pretty cool. And one girl gets to experience it.

This girl and Gideon both go to Midvale Academy, the privet school that Gideon is just starting to attend. And, when Cullen and Nicholas, his roommates, start making bets concerning him and his virginity, he feels like they're becoming friends. And he'll do anything for them to like him. And when he starts to like a few girls on campus, things just keep getting more and more interesting.

I loved this book. I really liked how the author waited until the last page to tell you who was inside his mind. It really mad the story more enjoyable to not know. The characters were all really likable. I think I like Gideon too. He is a pretty nice guy. I really loved Cullen, mostly for his name and the relation to Twilight and Edward (hottie) Cullen. The story was pretty eventful and very rarely had a slow point that made me look at all my books that I have not yet read and sigh.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who:
1. Wants a view of how guys think and why the do what they do/are like they are.
2. Likes boarding school books (Looking For Alaska) and all the excitement that goes along with living like that.
or
3. Want to read an exciting book with a ending that makes you think "OMG!" "Awwww!" and "My life will never be the same" all at the same time.

Ok, this book is about a girl who is inside Gideon's head, but, here's the twist, we (the reader) have no idea as to who this girl is and guess what? you don't find out until the last sentence of the book. anyway, it is a very interesting book in a guy's point of view as he goes from a nothing to one of the most popular guys at this boarding school. why? well, the two most popular guys are his room mates and probably the yellow thong is what started the bet. he has to have to lose his virginity to a girl before Halloween. Nicholas and Cullen (room mates) keep changing the rules. this is a high stakes bet because the prise, a car and possibly his brand new reputation.

a really great book that opened my eyes and now has me thinking everyday 'what is he really thinking in that head of his' about any guy that gets a distant look in his eye, as if he's thinking. this book is also on my 'must read' list.

I love this book! This is a book you would have to read twice. This is one of those books where you find out who the narrator is at the end. If you read this twice it makes a lot more sense and its even more interesting because you know who this person is. Its mainly about this girl who is inside a guys mind. They go to the same school as well. She has no idea how he got into her mind though. Like she can see what he sees and hear his thoughts and hear what other people say to him. It is a pretty interesting book, romantic mainly.

This is an intereting book, written from a new point of view. The girl who hears Gideons thaughts provides arunning comentary about his very funny and someties hectic life.
This isn't the first book I've read in this gerne, and I can't help notice hthat the focus is girls, and pot. it's like they really don't think about much else. I wonder if that isn't a bit steriotypical; cause not all the boys I know seen like that.
Molly tells us the very funny story of Gideon very well, I deffinately recommend this book. 14+ because it's got some mature subjects.

Meet Gideon Rayburn. He's the new scholarship kid from Virginia at the prestigious Midvale Academy. He's a bit naive, a bit awkward. Oh, and, even though he doesn't know it, he has a girl living inside his head. This mystery girl wakes up one morning with thoughts that aren't hers. She tells us all about Gid, about his super-cool rooommates, about a bet they make for Gid that could change his whole year, about his classes, and about his crushes. Of course, she herself has fallen in love with Gid from hearing all his innermost thoughts -- but he doesn't like her. Or does he? Of all the information she gives us, she never answers the reader's biggest question: who is she? Is she the hottest girl in school? Is she the dorkiest? Is she -- God forbid-- a teacher? Any girl who ever wanted to know what guys were thinking -- this is the book for you. Mystery girl leads us through Gideon's whole year at Midvale, through all his wins and losses, his hilarious capers and misadventures. Though she refers to herself, you'll be left guessing until the very last page as to her real identity. You can have suspicions, guesses, feelings, but you won't have definite proof, which makes it even more fun. Sarah Miller has written a funny, true, and captivating first novel that you won't want to put down. Some of the characters are a bit lacking in moral fiber, but they are lovable nonetheless, especially Gid, who you may fall for yourself. If only you were always inside the mind of the boy you liked...

I can't put this book down! Im 18 years old and for about 16 of my 18 years I have had so many questions about boys ... (hey i started young haha). This book answers all of them. Though blunt and at times a little degrading this book left me giggling until I flipped the last page.I fell in love with Gideon, Cullen, and Nicholas and you will too. We know these people...their in our math class or in our study hall and maybe they don't know we exist. Inside the mind of Gideon Rayburn is your life only in different words. Needless to say...I loved the story!

Gideon Rayburn has a twist of fate when he mananges to secure a position in a fancy prep school. From day one, his life is completely changed. His new roommates, Cullen and Nicholas, influence him to do drugs, drink, and even make a bet for him to lose his virginity. With so many girls around, Gideon does not know how to act around them or who he really likes. Through the course of his first term of boarding school, he learns a lot about his personality and what is really important in relationships.

What is different about this book is that it is told through the voice of a girl who is "inside his mind". She is one of the girls Gideon comes face to face with at his prep school, and the thrill of reading this is to find out the identity of the girl. That was the main reason why I finished this book. Gideon was a cute character, but I couldn't get into this story. Maybe I would have liked it better being told through a girl's perspective, but that would defeat the purpose of the story. It was nice reading about what guys think, but I don't think this was the best book. Maybe I will like Miller's next novel more.
