Invisible, a coming of age story of an unsecured 13(12?) year old, Jazmine (yes with a cool Z like Gabby said)journey to overcome her insecurities and learn to be visible. Jazmine will learned want really happened to her dad and overcome her fears of telling the secrets she believes will make people part away from her.
Cecily Paterson captured the perspective of a 13(12)year old perfectly. She made you believe in her along with Miss Fraser, her drama teacher and the one who gave her a choice that change her life completely. This book it's a sweet, simple, easy and beautiful read. A well-written story that will capture the heart of any one, not matter their age. The author writes about common issue and problem teenagers could face, like bulling. Jazmine was being bullied by Shalini, the typical mean/cruel girl, who tormented her about her dad and her half deaf condition. I love the sweet and innocent romance between Jazmine and Liam( a drama lover and the first friend she had after her dad died. I liked the way the story is narrated, through Jazmine's journal and the event that happened in her life. I love Paterson's writing style and I'm looking forward to read more from her. 4.5 Stars
