Love!

I was lucky enough to receive an arc of this book and I’m so glad I did because it meant I got to join the Julie Buxbaum train before anyone else. This book was everything I wanted in a YA contemporary: a compelling storyline, wonderful characters, and a sweet romance....

Incredible and creepy

This was my first Neal Shusterman novel and it hooked me for life. This is such a cool but creepy story. I love all the different perspectives that play a part in telling the larger story. Shusterman is a master at making you truly think and this book will definitely...

Unsure how I feel?

I really liked this book for the most part. The plot was interesting and unique and I liked the romance. But the ending made me feel kind of weird and like I wasn’t sure how to feel about it? Idk it sort of changed my feelings about the rest of...

Unsure how I feel

This book was cute and sweet. I liked the story and the romance was adorable. The only thing I didn’t love was how the dad treated the main character. It made me sad but it did get resolved. I’m not sure I’ll keep going with the series though.

Fun!

This was such a fun ya take on Legally Blonde. It was so cute and sweet. I would recommend it if you’re looking for a cute contemporary with a queer romance.

Favorite

This is one of my favorite books! I absolutely adore this book and tell so many people to read it. It’s the perfect queer ya contemporary. Love how the song makes an appearance in the story.

Another banger

Dahlia Adler can do no wrong. This was such a fantastic sliding doors story and I loved that it was gay! It was so fun seeing both perspectives and I especially loved the one where she ended up with the girl. Highly recommend any Dahlia book!

DNF

I couldn’t make it past the first few chapters before I had to DNF this book. The concept of an advent book was so cool but the execution of it was so bad.

So beautiful

Highly recommend listening to the audiobook while reading this physically/digitally. Having the author read it to you is an experience unto itself. The poetry is as gorgeous as the artwork and I loved the message of this book. Highly recommend.

Love

This was the first book where I ever saw myself represented on the page. I love this book with my whole heart. Emery Lord is amazing and I highly recommend this book.

Good

Started off slow but ended up being really good. I wasn’t sure if I was gonna finish this at first but then a specific plot element came into play that made me want to keep going. I loved how that changed the story and gave it more depth. It also...

Cliche

This book was cliche as all get out. Nothing special about it. The plot was boring and predictable and I did not care about any of the characters. Hard pass.

Boo

This book was so underwhelming. I truly don’t understand why anyone liked this. It was so boring? And the romance was nonexistent? Honestly one of the worst romantasy books I’ve ever read.

Love!!!

Absolutely OBSESSED with this book!!! Everything about it was perfect: the characters, the plot, the romance! It has my favorite trope and I loved how it was handled. The autism rep was great too. 10/10 would recommend.
