Review Detail

The story:
Mitch knows his life is on the verge of big changes. His sister is dating one of his friends. His best friend has grown cold and weird around him. And the girl he's crushed on for ages is finally noticing him.
But with big changes come shifts inside of him and before long, he doesn't recognize the person looking at him in the mirror any longer.

What I loved:
The POV. Most contemporaries are told either by a female or with alternating POVs. Very few are strictly the male POV and I found myself loving it. It gave the book such a unique feel. We got to see all the turmoil going on inside of him. Just as he was guessing at Holly's behavior, so were we. It read like the reader and Mitch were in this together.
Mitch's family is probably the best part of the book. I found myself rooting for his sister. His two best guy friends were the kind of friends everyone wants. They truly cared what was going on with him.
The tone of the story is light and entertaining enough to keep the reader flipping pages late into the night.

What was just okay:
Mitch is infuriating, but so is Holly. They're really not good friends to each other and definitely don't act like they actually care about each other.
There were a few actions by Mitch that are a bit creepy as well and that took him down a notch.

Final Verdict:
A cute and fun story with a fantastic writing style. Engaging. Entertaining. Don't start if you have to go to bed any time soon.
