charming, interactive board book
BUZZ LIKE A BEE is a charming, interactive board book that toddlers will love! This board book invites children to perform different actions like various bugs and offers push-pull-slide type mechanisms for them to move the bugs in the stated ways. For instance, they are invited to spin like a spider, where they turn a wheel on the side to see a spider move in circles on the page.
What I loved: This is a cute and interactive board book that will charm toddlers. The text is very simple and brief, focusing on the various actions that bugs do and children will observe as they move the pages. The variety of actions is great with something different on each page, including a wheel to turn, pull-outs to grab, and sliders to wiggle.
Every page is colorful and detailed, making this quite visually appealing. The bugs are all really adorable with a good variety, including a snail, spider, and caterpillar. They all have inviting smiles that work so well for the youngest readers.
What left me wanting more: As a small thing, the pull-outs can be a bit of a challenge, particularly the last one, which pulls out and pulls out again (a double pull-out), which is very cool – but also gets caught. In the process of getting it out, it broke out of the book, though was relatively easy to get back in. The rest were very solid and held up to rough little fingers for us.
Final verdict: BUZZ LIKE A BEE is a charming, interactive board book that is perfect for toddlers who love to get into the action of reading! Colorful images and adorable bugs make this a big win.
