I’ve battled the Reapers of Chaos before–and survived. But this time I have a Bad, Bad Feeling it’s going to be a fight to the death … most likely mine. Yeah, I’ve got my psychometry magic, my talking sword, Vic–and even the most dangerous Spartan on campus at my side, in Logan freaking Quinn, but I’m no match for Loki, the evil Norse god of chaos. I may be Nike’s Champion, but at heart, I’m still just Gwen Frost, that weird Gypsy girl everyone at school loves to gossip about. Then someone I love is put in more danger than ever before, and something inside me snaps. This time, Loki and his Reapers are going down for good … or I am.

RUN-DOWN
In the conclusion to Mythos Academy, Gwen Frost is still Nike's Champion and it is up to her to not only stop Loki and his Reapers from causing havoc, but it is up to her to kill Loki. Along with her friends, she will defeat the Reapers and their evil god.

MY OPINION
Don't let my rating deceive you, I enjoyed reading this book. I have given every book in this series around 3 or 4 stars and this book was no different.
One small-ish detail about this book that I loved was the fact that we don't just dive into the book, but get brief tidbits that tell us who all the characters were and what the frex happened in the last book. I loved that this was in the book, since a majority of the time you have to dive right into the book when, after a year or so, you forgot everything that happened in the other books. So thank you, Jennifer, for reminding me of everything that happened.

Anyway, it was nice to see some of the characters again, some I didn't even realized I missed (Vic. Vic is amazing. He's a frexing talking sword and he is british). Gwen's friends are amazing and I loved how much they cared for her and how they always stuck by her side.

There was, of course, some characters that I want to stab to death (I really, really wanted to stab Vivian). But I did enjoy going back into this series and believe that the series ended quite nicely. Meaning: there was no unanswered questions and whatnot.

IN CONCLUSION
I enjoyed reading this series and while i'm a bit sad to see it go, i'm happy with how it ended

I am so sad to see this series end! I love Logan and his crew. I love Grandma Frost and the teachers at Mythos Academy. I love the mystical creatures that roam through the pages. This is such a fun series. But alas, all good things must come to an end.

Gwen is back and is as fierce as ever. She is still kicking some major Reaper butt. As a finale, I think Killer Frost handled things well. Normally, the finales of long series tend to be rushed or completely out in left field, but Killer Frost held down the fort. The pacing was just right and there weren't too many surprises lurking in the shadows.

My biggest complaint in this series has been the lack of surprise, but it's ok. They have felt predictable and I haven't been knocked out of my socks for some time. Regardless, though, I've still really enjoyed these. There is something that keeps me coming back. What is it? It's the characters and their interactions with one another.

Gwen and Logan have a very complicated history. Just like any believable relationship, there are ups and downs. They each have flaws, but despite those flaws they still come back to each other. Then you add in the besties. I love Daphne-- pink fetish and all. The supporting characters are just as important and the major ones, and it's hard to say which would be a favorite. The enemies are pretty good too. Loki's champion didn't do much for me in the villain department. She seemed more like an annoying mosquito buzzing around, but the big dogs delivered. Loki's role was especially interesting throughout this series.

I know I am biased when it comes to mythology. Unless it stinks like a rotten peach, I'm going to enjoy it. I admit it. I would not, however, say that is the case with the Mythos Academy series. They do not stink like month old peaches. They are delightful and fun. You will find yourself devouring them in one sitting. Now that the full series is available, go ahead and have them all ready to be read in an epic read-a-thon. You won't want to wait to see what happens next.
