Winter and Sloan have been best friends for a while and after a freshman year that saw neither of them making any progress in the popularity polls, they make a pact that their sophomore year is going to be different. They are going to do whatever it takes to make it and whoever gets there first will pull the other one along.

Things seem to be going according to plan, with Sloan making some serious inroads, but then, just when Sloan is in she shuts Winter out. She completely ditches her former best friend.

Winter decides to get even the modern way she starts up an anonymous blog detailing all of Sloans past transgressions and foibles. Not that she names any names, mind you, but it makes her feel better all the same.

Then the blog catches on and suddenly its the new big thing. Winter has to decide if what shes doing is worth it and exactly how far is she ready to go? Add in cute Rey (who seems to like Winter just as she is) and a resurgence in her dads popularity (did I mention he used to be a rock star?) and youve got further complications in her social life.

Like previous Noel characters, Winter is interesting because she isnt one dimensional. Shes got some conflicts, this girl. She learns some things along her journey. She grows. And she gets the cute guy. 

Not to mention that Sloan gets her comeuppance. Now thats a satisfying ending.

Recommended for readers aged 14 and up.
