Little Wolf has just been separated from her family and remembers that her mom told her if she was ever lost find North. But who or what is North? Little Wolf goes to ask some new friends how to find North, and with a little help from them, she finds her way back to her family.
What I Liked: The front cover of this book stole my heart immediately because of how cute Little Wolf is and how bright the colors are. I appreciate how the author incorporates North into this story and how we learn what North is. I love that this book personifies North as Little Wolf is trying to figure out what her mom meant by finding North if she ever gets lost.
I enjoyed reading as Little Wolf met new friends outdoors helping her find North and even when she encountered some friends who turned her around because of their perspective on North. This book is not just about finding your voice, but also about animals who travel during different seasons such as bears.
Final Verdict: Little Wolf’s Howl is a great adventure book for children ages 3 and up. Children will enjoy following along as we learn if Little Wolf finds her mom and discovers her voice.
