Despite the shaky start this series had for me, this series seems to just get better and better with each book. Loss just builds more upon this intriguing world Jackie Morse Kessler has crafted, and was one heck of a read.

I love that Jackie Morse Kessler always writes teens who are so easy to relate to. In the case of Billy, I think everyone has gone through a similar situation at some point in their lives, which made it super easy to connect with him and his story. I just love Jackie Morse Kessler‘s portrayal of Death – I think he’s one of my favorite characters in all of YA lit. He is such an interesting character – so charming and witty.

The plot of Loss was quite a bit different from the other two books in the series, which was really neat. I loved following the story, and seeing where characters from the prior two books might pop up. I could barely put this one down, I just flipped page after page to try to put together the puzzle that was Loss. I just love the idea of the Riders of the Apocalypse. The idea is so unique and original, and I like how it ties in with prominent issues for teens today.

Loss by Jackie Morse Kessler is one of those must reads. I found this book to have an addicting quality, and I did not want to put it down. I am so excited for book 4, Breathe, to see where that story leads the characters of the word of the Riders of the Apocalypse.
