Yes this book is a little predictable but only the story plot and how it all turns out. Kate Brian however has done and exceptional job on charaterization developement and the message this book potrays, isn't at all predictable. It shows you that what you consider a normal t-shirt in your head may be the only shelter a kid your age has in some other part of the world. Although you don't see this in many other books, it is just as important and i think this book is worth reading.
