Of all the Klutz activity kits, of which there are many, this one is probably one of the more active—and loads more fun too.
The kit includes everything you’ll need to create up to ten custom soaps, including packages and stickers so you can give your soaps as gifts. With 20 blocks of soap base and 20 color tablets, soap molds, coconut papaya scent, glitter and a collection of soap stickers, the possibilities are endless. (Note: the glycerin soap blocks are quite small, so I would recommend supplementing this kit with additional supplies to make the most of your day of fun.) There are also recipes for fun emoji faces, cupcakes and a special fun bonus soap to spark little imaginations. The only thing missing is the ability to reorder additional supplies as needed to make soap making a regular activity.
The instruction book is easy to follow with pictures, illustrations and simple methods to ensure your soap making experience is a fun and safe one. Adult supervision is definitely important with this Klutz activity kit. Adults are reminded to handle all of the heat related portions of the project. These warnings are in bold, colorful blocks, calling attention to the steps children should not attempt alone.
Recommended for ages six and up, Make Your Own Soap is one of the better Klutz activity kits available.
