Awesome biography for kids and adults! This book chronicles the entire life of Charles Schulz, creator of the beloved Peanuts comic, from early childhood to first success and everything that came after. Based on historical facts, the story’s cute manga illustrations tell the story of Schulz, and in doing so, shows how the charming Peanuts characters captured so many hearts.

I don’t read a lot of biographies, manga or otherwise, but I was hooked from beginning to end. The journey to publish Peanuts wasn’t short or easy, and even after the first success, Schulz’s story is an example of perseverance, admirable work ethic, and love of life which resulted in thousands of comics. Mentions of historic events give it grounding in history, and I even learned a bit about the Apollo missions.

Fans of Peanuts will love the end pages with photos and bonus facts.
