The teenagers soon find themselves involved in a massive, universal conspiracy. Somehow, Martin is at the centre of it all. But who really is the mysterious XO5 – and what does he want with Martin?

This was a beautiful book - I bought the paperback and it's quite simply the best self-published book I've ever seen. The cover design, the binding, the font, the layout... this really blurs the boundaries between traditionally-published and independent fiction. Well, on to the story. The plot is wonderful and the writing style draws you in straight away. The writer has really created something magical and exciting - this is the kind of book you really can't down. A couple of the characters are a little thinly fleshed-out, but I suppose they can always be developed more in later books. I loved the cute romance between Martin and Darcy and all of the fantastical elements. Anyone - teenagers or older people - will enjoy this!
