MY THOUGHTS
The last book ended with a kiss between Suze and Jesse (YES!), but now Suze doesn't know where they stand. Are they dating? How can they even date? And after that kiss, Jesses has been keeping himself distant, so much so that Suze is questioning is he sees the kiss as a mistake. To make matters worse, Paul enrolled in Suze's school and he's intent on dating Suze and wants to teach her what it truly means to be a meditator. Though, Suze just can't trust him.

This book mainly focuses on Paul, a character who was introduced in the last book. Paul is a really untrustworthy guy. I mean, he almost killed Suze and tried to get rid of Jesse in the last book, so it's understandable that Suze doesn't trust him. But the fact that he's in her school now makes it hard for Suze to avoid him. The thing about Paul is that I can't decide whether I hate him or kind of like him. He's a very interesting character and his addition to the series really brings a lot and shows that the series is going somewhere interesting. There are times when I begin to like him, but he also has a very warped mind so..

I was a bit disappointed about the romance, though, because I ship Suze and Jesse so much. A majority of this book is spent with them still not in a relationship and they're even further distanced than the beginning of the series, so I was a bit unhappy by this.

IN CONCLUSION
This was a great addition to the series, but a lot of this book was leading into the next book. I am very curious about the addition of Paul and where this series is going!

This book is a great. It's fast-paced and will have you wanting for more. If you like reading about ghosts and supernatural powers, you'll love this book. Susannah can talk to ghosts and send them to their afterlife. This school year, everything goes wrong when her worst nightmare is back.

I swear, this series just get better and better. In this installment of Suzes life in Carmel, California, the delectably dangerous Paul Slater reenters her life just when she thinks she will never see him again. Paul is the Devil in a hot bodor so Suze believes as she recalls the past summer when Paul tried to kill her and make her ghostly sweetheart, Jesse, disappear forever.

Paul claims to know what, exactly, they are, why they communicate with ghosts and what else they can do. But Suze doesnt know why hes so intent on teaching her about their similar powers. Unless hes lonely&? Is that why he so creepily continues to talk to her even after her many rejections of him? Is that why he kisses her the day he invites her over to his place under the pretense of learning more about mediators?

Meanwhile, Suzes relationship with the hot ghost who haunts her room, Jesse, has been awkward and littered with silences. It seems to have been this way ever since they kissed several weeks ago. Despite the strain in their friendship as a result, Suze cant help but fall more in love with Jesse every day, even though she knows that loving a guy whos been already dead for 150 years wont bode well for her future. To make matters worse, once Jesse finds out that Paul has recently transferred to Suzes school, there could be the blowout of a lifetime, as two hot, headstrong forces collide with one another in a battle for, much to her surprise, Suzes heart.

HAUNTED is full of fun and romance with a paranormal twist. I am a hearty proponent of the impossible romance between Suze and Jesse, but Paul definitely makes this series all the more interesting. Gotta love Meg Cabot and her wonderful characters.

Look behind you. Is there anyone there that isn't supposed to be? Are you sure? Susannah Simon might say otherwise.

Suze is completely normal. Really. She lives for clothing outlets, Bobbi Brown lip liner and anything that will keep her hair from frizzing. She has a crush on a wonderful boy&

&who's been dead for about a hundred and fifty years&

&and the new boy at school happens to be interested in her&

&which is too bad, because he also once tried to kill her.

All right, so Suze isn't completely normal. She's a mediator, born with a gift and a mission. Her job is to guide ghosts to the places they're supposed to be in the afterlife. The people who are on Earth as ghosts are there because there's something unresolved about their deaths. That boy who wanted to kill her is the undeniably cute Paul Slater, another mediator who knows more about Suze than she knows about herself. Her latest case involves the very annoying Craig Jankow, who is really upset about the way he died. He was a champion swimmer who died in a boating accident. To add insult to injury, his wimpy brother Neil survived. Craig isn't much more than a thorn in Susannah's side, until he gets the idea that he wants to kill Neil to set things right. Just in case being sixteen and boy-conflicted wasn't complicated enough, she must prevent a murder --- not just Neil's, but possibly her own!

This book is very bad. It's not scary, just very silly. Suze falling in love with a ghost is so cliche. How many times can a ghost be introduced in an already awful story that is a pain to read. It is not even that romantic. It is not good. It is not exciting. It's very predictable.

First of all: guess who's back? That's right: PAUL. And he doesn't seem to be hating Suze. Nope. not at all. In fact, it seems like the opposite. On top of that, Jesse just seems to ignore the kiss they shared. Last of Craig is trying to kill his brother. Maybe keeping secrets from Jesse wasn't the best option.

Suze Simon is a mediator; someone who talks, touches and helps (sometimes) ghosts. She even develops a love for one certain gorgeous ghost that died in 1850 named Jesse who happens to live in her bedroom. But being a mediator isn't all its cracked up to be. In this book, Suze has Paul Slater, another mediator, thats warm for her form, and is powerful enough to send Jesse to the great beyond where he belongs, but he won't do that if Suze agrees to go out with him. What will Suze do? Agree and be in the presence of a stalkerish 17 year old guy, or deny and watch the love of her life get sent away.

Haunted is the fifth book in the Mediator series by Meg Cabot. These books are so compelling that you never want to put them down until you're finished. Many readers will be captured by the style of writing, humor, action, suspense, and mystery that these books hold. The characters are all well developed that make you both love and hate them at the same time. This series is both good for boys and girls, but more so for girls since it does have quite a bit of romance. I would recommend this series to everyone and be sure to check out the first four books of this amazing series as well as Twilight, the sixth and final book.

When I finished the book Darkest Hour I was Dying to read Haunted because (of course) Jesse and Suze FINALLY kiss! I waited for over a month and a half to get the book at the Library(I was put on hold). It was worth the wait!

Haunted:

In this book of the mediadtor series Suzes horrible nightmare becomes a reality for the following resons-
1.Paul is back (you know the one that left her for dead...yeah, that Paul.)
2.Paul is preety much head over heels in love with Suze
3.Paul cant seem to leave her alone
4.Jesse doesnt seem to feel the same way about Suze
5. and to top it off Suze has to prevent a ghost called Craig from killing his brother.

Yeah things arent turning out so well for Suze...

Susanna is a regular teenager apart from the fact that she can see ghosts and a certain hot spanish ghost haunts her room. Life seems perfect with Jesse (the ghost in her room) until she encounters Paul Slater. Paula a fellow mediator likes Susanna and is determined on winning her affectoin from Jesse. He tempts her with information on her gift. His offer seems too good to refuse but will she end up regreting it? This books was amazing I enjoyed it greatly because it made you feel for the charcters. Paul is the classic guy you love to hate and hate to love. His charasmatic ways are charming but nothing in comparison to Jesse's charcter sweet and untouched by years of technology and curroption. An unforgettable line from this book is, "Querida what happened to your feet?"-Jesse

Susannah Simon is a mediator, or someone who can communicate with ghosts. Even her crush, Jesse, is also a ghost. She deals with normal teenage problems as well as the ghosts. She tries to help a ghost that tags alone with a friend Susannah's brother brought home find peace. On top of all her troubles, she has to deal with Paul, a creep that's been in her nightmares.

Overall, I thought this was a pretty good read.
