Sam Meeker decides to join the Parriotes to fight against the British in the Revolutionary War. His father is against his fighting in the war because he doesn't want him to get killed and he also is loyal to the king of England.
His brother Tim knows he has to make a choice- either side with his father and fight against his brother, or side with his brother and fight against his father.
