I must say that with out the end of this book the whole thing would be shot. The begging with Bella actually annoyed me, then when Edward left I cried, after that the whole book dragged and only got exciting again with Bella's hallucinations of Edward, and then when she jumped.
The ending of the book from the time Alice came back though made the whole book wonderful and worth the wait. I cried again when Edward and Bella were re-united. Once the book was over and I had a chance to re-evaluate it, I have to say that Jacob did an amazing job keeping Bella alive and I actually do like Jacob, just not with Bella.
All in all a wonderful book in an amazing series!

This book outshined the first one by a long shot. Enter a boy who went from childhood friend not seen or remembered much to best friend who brings Bella out of the Darkness.
Poor Edward, leaving her made me want to hurt him, but he just hurt himself, Bella, and Jacob in the end for doing that. By leaving he left Bella to Jacob and while Jacob was saving her and bringing her back he fell in love with her and she fell in love with him.
That just made everything so complicated and it made the hurt go deeper. All in all it was awesome, the Vampire Royals shocked me...I mean how could their be royals? But hey every one has royals, right?

Stephenie Meyer is a genius.
Bella's life is going perfectly. Well, it WAS until Edward decides to leave her for her own good. Desperately, she sets up defensive measures and does a good job of ending the pain-- and her spirit. Zombie-like and silent, Bella is just going through the motions... Until she takes a trip to Jacob's house with a pair of motorcycles and a mind for danger.
Jacob brightens up her life and pulls the pieces back together. That is, until a secret not even Jake knew pops up out of nowhere. Everything works out, for the time being. But when Bella goes too far to try to bring a small piece of Edward back, things go downhill fast.
I loved this book, but you should be warned: you will not be able to put it down.

New Moon definitely was not my favorite book out of the Twilight Saga.
But, the series wouldn't have been amazing without it.
Even thought Edward leaves, it sets up the story line for the rest of the books.
It gives you the amazing love triangle between Bella, Edward and Jacob.
So, in the end, New Moon is still an awesome book. :]

Stephenie Meyer has done it yet again with the second book of the series, New Moon. In this book, Edward leaves Bella. Which is very sad because Bella becomes sad. But, Jacob was there for her. Jacob helped heal Bella's wounds, though they were never healed all the way. It would never be the same again because Bella needs Edward he is her one true love, forever and ever.

This book has so much power to it. It is truely amazing how an author can be so detailed.
Bella was very sad in ths book, which made me sad also. but jacob was very good at helping heel the wounds although they will never be heeled all the way. Jacob helps out a lot but it will never be the same with edward gone. How could edward ever expect bella to go on for the rest of her life knowing she still loves him and only him. her one and only true love for the rest of her life. I feel for bella.

It's Isabella Swan's 18th birthday, and unlike the rest of her high school classmates, she's been dreading this milestone for months. Once Bella turns 18, she'll officially be older than her beloved Edward Cullen, who is 17 and will remain so until the end of time. Dazzlingly handsome Edward, like the rest of his family, is undead, a vampire destined to remain young and beautiful forever...while mortals like Bella age and perish all around them.
Following a frightening encounter with some of Edward's siblings after she cuts her finger on wrapping paper (the Cullens pledge to hunt only wild animals, but the smell of human blood can send them into a frenzy), Edward grows increasingly distant with Bella. Finally, he drops a bombshell --- he is leaving Bella forever, finally embracing his vampire characteristics and no longer, as he tells her, "'pretending to be something I'm not.'" Disappearing suddenly into a dark and moonless wood, Edward leaves Bella utterly alone and despondent: "I hoped that I was fainting, but, to my disappointment, I didn't lose consciousness. The waves of pain that had only lapped at me before now reared high up and washed over my head, pulling me under."
Bella drowns in her pain for months, resurfacing only when her father threatens to send her to see a psychologist or to live with her mother. Desperate not to forget Edward, Bella rekindles a friendship with Jacob Black, a large, hard-edged boy with a tendency to live life recklessly. Jacob lives on the area's Indian reservation, whose inhabitants loathe the vampires for reasons that become increasingly clear as Bella's friendship with Jacob deepens. Bella's thrill-seeking adventures with Jake, though, attract attention, leading Bella back to Edward --- and to a new threat neither one of them ever anticipated.
Stephenie Meyer's first novel about Bella and Edward, TWILIGHT, offered readers an exciting new entry in the field of vampire fiction. With NEW MOON, the second part in a projected trilogy, Meyer deepens and enriches her mythology, introducing new families and races that complicate Bella and Edward's story. Bella reflects, "Could a world really exist where ancient legends went wandering around the borders of tiny, insignificant towns, facing down mythical monsters?...Was there anything sane or normal at all, or was everything just magic and ghost stories?"
Edward vanishes in short order and only reappears shortly before the Gothic extravaganza near the book's end. In the middle, the story sometimes drags, and readers may long for the vampires' return. The events of NEW MOON, though, will leave Meyer's many fans breathless for the sequel, as Bella finally understands everything that will be at stake if she makes the ultimate choice to give up her humanity and live, like the vampires, forever.

Twilight is my favorite book, so I naturally loved New Moon. Stephenie Meyer has done it again. My copy of New Moon is battered and worn. I know Ive read it at least six times since febrary. It is fantastic.
Their love declared, Edward and Bella are together. But after Bella's disasterous birthday party Edward decides it's to dangerous to be together, so he and his familiy leave. Bella is left in a zombie like state, and befriends Jacob Black, a werewolf, who saves her from the wrath of Laurent and Victoria. After a cliff diving incident and one of Alice's uncertain visions Edward thinks Bella dead and goes to Italy to ask the Voultri to end his life. Bella and Alice race to Italy to stop him.
I loved this book, but when Edward left I cried and after I read the book twice I skipped chapter three five times. If your a fan of Twilight you'd deffinatly love this book!

Bravo Stephenie! This book is amazing! I cried throughout it, because when Edward leaves, you feel like it leaves a hole inside you. I loved how Jacob was introduced and put in the story just in time, before Bella went completly mad. She's on the brink, then, BAM, enter the knight in shining armor. Now, Jacob is no Edward, so don't think that's what I mean, but he is a amazing friend and there to help Bella through the horriable and hard times that are ahead.
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT read this book so fast just to see when Edward reappers. Like Step says, he will reappear when the time is right. Read the story for what it is and you will also see the beauty, like I did!
