New Moon (Twilight #2)
User reviews
Aside from that, I really enjoyed the book. It kept me on my toes so to speak and like the first one, once I started I couldn't put it down. You really get to know Jacob in this one, and you can't help but feel bad for Bella when he runs off just like Edward.
Another good book from Stephenie Meyer.
the book new moon is a real nice book you can see the chemistry between bella and edward  also bella and jacob they are really in love but when edward decides that he is going to show the world he is a vampire  bella goes to stop him and right there they both fall in love
When Bella Swan's first true love decides to leave her, after a horrible accident on her birthday, she is determined to keep him with her. after he promised that she will believe he never existed, Bella is depressed for months, until her friend Jacob becomes her sunshine. He stays with her, until the "fantasy world" hits him to. Jacob and his werewolve pals believe that if Jake gets to close to Bella, she has a greater risk of being hurt. But when Edward thinks Bella has died, he goes to the volturi for a death wish. Bella and Alice has to save him, but will the volturi let them go when they find out that Bella knows the deepest darkest secret?!
This is a must read after Twilight. Of course you will miss Edward, but it is worth getting through to follow the story line. The books are written ok, nothing earth shattering. If it gets you to read, then enjoy it.
I did read the series and thought they were fine. Probably won't read them again.
Technically, I read this book at least two years ago, defiantly some time before the movie's mention. I fell in love with the whole plot of the Twilight saga, and the sweet, deadly romance struck up between Bella, the average run of the mill mortal, and Edward, an 107 teen who hasn't aged in a century. When Edward left Bella in New Moon, my heart broke. I wanted to cry with her, lost in the sorrow of her one true love, suddenly no longer wanting her, but her unable to avoid the craving for him. Of course, he was still in love with her, and the true romance behind this was his leaving her for her own good; foolish but romantic. Jacob Black became Bella's best friend and something more in this novel, and it finished out with an unsettled confrontation left for Eclipse, the rivalry for Bella between Edward and Jacob. Personally, there was never any contest-Edward was meant to be Bella's other half to make her whole, it was obvious to me since Twilight had first introduced him to be the mysterious loner of a family full of perfect matches.
Their separation only made the love grow stronger, and when, finally, theyre reunited at the end, I could feel my own heart heal itself form its invisible wound. New Moon is an amazing book, and if you havent read it yet, please do. Though I am glad for the amount of love being showered over the Twilight saga, it bothers me how far its being exploited- Twilight conversation hearts is a tad overboard, and Im praying we wont be seeing any Twilight shower curtains, promising perfect cover without water splashing outside your tub, along with a close up of the face of whichever character has stolen your affections. Jokes aside (I hope!) New Moon is an easy read novel, one youll be fighting to put down. Just dont let the teachers catch you reading in their class!
Seconds, please? In this follow-up to Twilight, New Moon seeks to explore the strength of true love and how far we are willing to go to preserve it. New Moon exposes both Bella and the reader, to the potential absence of Edward and what life may be like with Jacob as your universal center. Can Bella handle the fallout from such an act of seeming betrayal? Can Jacob settle with being a replacement? Will she ever see Edward again? To find out, just read the book! (Can't spoil it for you.) An emotional roller coaster filled with the ups and downs that life can throw into any relationship. Jump in, strap on your seat belt and prepare for a bumpy ride!
While this is definitely the most "blue" book of the series, it scores major points with the twist and turn of events during the later half as well as exploring the utter despair losing a loved one can bring.
When jasper tries (uwilingly) to kill bella, the cullens decided to leave forks. When Edward leaves bella she is beond devistated. The only antidote to her depression is Jake black.
When jake starts to avoid her, she doesn't know what to do. Then Jake tells Bella that he is a werewolf. And things sort of even out...
I think that it was a well desered 5 star book.
The thrilling sequel to Twilight brings all that and more! After Bella's disasterous birthday party, Edward leaves and promises to never come back. Bella breaks down, and thinks that she's lost her life. But after a few dangerous accidents, Bella figures out that if she does something reckless and stupid, she can hear the perfect, angelic voice. So she buys some motorcycles and heads over to her friend Jacob's house to see if he can fix them. While he's working on the motorcycles, they slowly become closer until,Bella can't be away from him. All of a sudden Jacob ignores her and Bella cant handle someone else deserting her,and forces Jacob to tell her the truth. But it seems like Bella can't stay away from trouble(even if she wanted to) and everyone in Forks is jeopardized in a horror that can't be stopped. After a silly cliffdive into the lake, and an almost-death, Edwards beloved sister Alice, comes to see if Bella is alright, and then everything goes haywire. Rumors fly and now Edward is trying to kill himself(which in nearly impossible). It's up to Bella and Alice to get to Edward before it's too late.
