Night
User reviews
You read Romeo and Juliet. And you think that's oh so real because Joe has been looking at you for the past week and it's meant to be.
You read through Macbeth and think that's real because Joe has started looking at someone else.
We all see these trivial things as something real, but overlook something actual like Night.
We read this as a class and I don't think I've ever seen more people emotionally wrecked at one time.
After 8 years, Night still sticks with me. My grandpa was a POW of WWII and the stories he told me feel just like reading Night.
It's a traumatic read, but well worth the heartache.
This is the most beautifully written book and it is a true story.I love this book ,I glad my English teacher made us read this book .
'Night' is the painful and terrifying record of young Elie Wiesel's memories of when he and his family were taken from their home and sent to Auschwitz concentration camp, and then to Buchenwald. In this book Elie Wiesel describes the horrific events that would break any mans spirit as he struggles to survive and stay close to his father who is the only person has got left and also as he defiantly rebukes God for not stopping all of these terrible things that have happened. This was one of the books I read in school, and was the only book I couldn't put down even after I left school. When I finished this book I couldn't help but cry a little because Elie's story was so moving that I felt as if I knew him.
This is yet another book that I find totally heartbreaking because it is true. This is an exaple of the real events and thoughts of someone who went through the Holocaust. This book is indescribable because it is unbelievably heartbreaking. In the end we get an image of what was left of him after years of torture and waiting. He has been cut away from his family, watched people die right in front of his eyes, smelled the odor of burning flesh and lived the torture of genocide. The scariest part of this whole things is that it is absolutely 100% true and there are people who survived and have to live with that the rest of their lives. I commend Elie Wiesel and give him the utmost respect for reliving these event through this book and don't know how someone couldn't be moved by this book. There is no genius behind this book because it is simply truth. The truth needs to genius to be moving.
This book is seriously one of the most amazing books I've ever read. I honestly encourage every person who reads this review to read the autobiographic memoir.
Set during the Holocaust, the book follows one man's journey-- survival-- through Nazi camps.
Tears filled my eyes as I read about all the things he had to go through. Compelling, powerful, moving, touching, inspiring... these are just a few words that came to mind.
Nothing I say can do "Night" justice. You need to read it for yourself.
Night is a very powerful book, written form Wiesel's own memoir, of the events that happened to the Jews during the Nazi concentration camps. Wiesel did such a good job explaining the events that I can form a scene in my mind while I was reading. This book was really hard to put down. In only a little more than 100 pages, Night has the power to change the meaning of a human being.
An incredable story of a young jew living during Hitler's control of power.
A story that would leave you speechless in just the first pages.
Follow this brave boy through hard working consentration camps and losing his family on the way.

read this historic story and find out how is brave boy did it all while not knowing if he will live to see tomarrow

This book was very carefully thought out and written with the best word choices. The pictures are painted in your mind and you feel as if you are there with the characters right by their side and you feel their pain. This book will really open up your heart. Some parts will make you cry while others make you want to scream becausse you are so excited. It is a very inspirational and moving story that shows the real struggles life throws at us and the cruelty that people show to eachother. Read this book I promise you won't regret it.
I know the Holocaust is imporant and that this story had deep meaning to it and all, but it wasn't that good to me.
Yes, it explained the Holocaust very well, but I just didn't get into it.
It tells of that horrible period very well, great details, it was a good book, but I just don't enjoy books like that.
