** This review is based off of the new, revised copy of Nirvana. I had received a copy prior to this and they made changes.

Okay, so this was most certainly a completely different story compared to what I read in the beginning, but did it get better? Not really.

The back and forth (until later on when it just... stopped) of character perspectives really killed me on top of the switching of tenses. I still didn't feel emotional connections, or any connections at all, to the characters. The lack of the connections made it extremely difficult for me to really care about what happens with the character's friends. Seriously. In scenes where I should feel sad, upset, pissed, etc., I was basically blank-staring at the pages while I continued to read.

In addition to the "same problems that I had with the other edition" list, the writing was still bland. There was no excitement or even urgency where there should have been. It really felt like I was "listening" to someone who has a monotone voice and that made the book just continuously drag. It actually made me want to stop reading on several occasions, but I couldn't when I needed to post a new review on this "revised" edition.

The new things added in were refreshing, but unfortunately, not enough so to make this book better than the first. If at all, it's only .01% better. Once again, I was disappointed with a book with a promising plot. The chapters ended weirdly, too, by the way. I don't know what's up with that at all.

All in all, this book didn't do well for me. I'm kind of glad I've finished reading it, but I'm still extremely upset that this wasn't as good as I'd hoped... especially when I was informed that they listened to our feedback. The rating remains the same.
