Your body is an instrument.

No, it’s not a flute, or a guitar (I hope). It is a sacred and original design by a master craftsman with a specific plan and purpose.

That’s a pretty big deal.

From head to foot, the way you view your body is directly connected to how you serve God. Seriously. From the thoughts you think to the steps you take, every part of you is linked to the divine. Perhaps you are struggling with your body image or are trying to make sense of why God made you as you are. Maybe you are looking for new ways to understand Scripture or to love God more fully. Either way, this book will take you on a thoughtful, funny, and spirit-filled exploration of the way you were designed and will help you better honor the Creator by learning to value his perfectly unique creation (yourself!).

As a Christian for about 13 years, I've read my share of "women's books" on pleasing God, being beautiful, etc. etc. ad infinitum. Honestly, a lot of them fall short, and though they say a lot of things I think women want to hear, it's not always what we need to hear, nor is it always based on what the Bible says. As a Christian, this is my frame of reference for how to live.

So, picking this book up was quite a refreshment. I thought I was not going to gain much from reading it, but Annie's conversational style and sincere heart came through on every page. She inspired this old sheep to renew her desire for the Shepherd and described in both new and old ways how to worship Him with my entire body.

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This is your spiritual act of worship."~Romans 12:1

Annie breaks this down into applicable form. She seems like an old friend now, a sister just a couple hours from me in Nashville, walking the journey with Jesus alongside me. That is a great comfort to me, even though we are at different places in life. She has a passionate love for the Lord, and it is infectious. Pick this up if you need a jolt of encouragement from a true sister in Christ.
