The setting for this book is atmospheric and awesome. I love to read books where the setting becomes another character in the book. I also really enjoyed the fierce intelligence and guts of Bridget, the heroine. She's a character worth reading about. There are plenty of plot twists and spooky happenings in Possess, including a scene in a doll shop that still haunts me to this day. :) This is a solid debut for Ms. McNeil and I recommend it to readers who love thrillers and the paranormal.
