After a move to Punxsutawney, PA, Andie is determined to experience her first kiss with her crush, Colton. After a summer of flirting with the object of her desire, she’s anxious for her first day at Punxsutawney High, but she gets caught up in an endless loop reliving her first day of school over and over.

She’s convinced her first kiss with her true love will break the curse and so ensues an elaborate scheme to win Colton’s heart through the perfect first day of school. But Andie quickly realizes her true love might not be Colton after all and he could be any one of the students in any one of the many cliques at Punxsutawney High. As she sets out on a mission to get to know everyone, Andie realizes the entire student body, from the popular circle right down to the geeky yearbook staff and the goths all want the same things. To be accepted for who they are. And as different as they might appear at first glance, underneath it all, they’re all the same.

Andie begins to learn valuable lessons about who she wants to be and what kind of people she chooses to spend her time with. But she’s stuck in a never-ending time loop with no clue how to escape.

Young readers will adore this fun romp of a read while older fans will get lost in the nostalgia of the author’s tribute to the greatly beloved and time honored films of John Hughes’ The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and Pretty in Pink.

If you’re in the mood for a fun rollercoaster of a ride with a spunky protagonist and hilarious mishaps, you’re in for a treat with Pretty in Punxsutawney.
