This is the second book in a very adorable, fun series. This story starts with Breeze Brannigan's end of the eighth grade class party. She hasn't heard from cute guy Cam after he and his mother returned to their palace home. When he surprises her with an invite to visit his home, Breeze and her family accept. Her best friends Amy and Allison also go with them. Once there, Breeze is mistaken for the reincarnation of a legendary island princess. There's also other things happening like a volcano that is threatening to erupt, a possible coup, and a bubbling romance with a prince.

Breeze is adorable, sweet, spunky, and someone readers will relate with. She struggles with her red hair, height, and confusion on which guy she likes. She really likes Cam, who just happens to be a prince, but friend Seth also has her attention.

I really loved Breeze! Her interactions with her friends is authentic. They're fourteen years old and just finished middle school. The giggles, excitement of first boyfriends, kisses is very real. Breeze holds her own too. She isn't one to sit on the side lines!

There's action and adventure when Breeze, her family, and friends go to Isla del Fuego. McClure gives vivid and lush descriptions of this island and I can see why Breeze would be so enamored of Cam's home.

There's suspense and a legendary princess Leilani that the islanders think Breeze is the reincarnation of. I really liked the twist of the story where Leilani comes into the picture. I also loved how it's Breeze who once again doesn't sit around when her family and friends are in trouble. She's very pro-active.

The ending gives readers a hint that there might be more to this series! I can't wait to see Breeze as a freshman in high school. Will she go with Cam? Or will her friendship with Seth become much more?

Sweet romance with a spunky heroine that is sure to resonate with readers. Perfect story for teens who are looking for lighter romances.
Good Points
1. Sweet romance
2. Spunky heroine that readers will love
