In Page, Kel must finish her last few years as a page. She fights to maintain the rigorous regimen of a page while confronting the prejudices that come with being a female in a man's world and coping with a crush on her closest friend, Neal.

I liked this book the same amount as I liked the first, though they are very different. In this book, Kel does not have as much fights with the other Page's, but the new romance balances it out. Actually, it's not much of a romance, more like a crush that means a lot to Kel.

Kel matures a lot more in this book, and she has more sense of what's good and bad, especially the end, which is a very important part of the story. I like how she has a solid personality that makes her a whole lot stronger than her fellow male pages.

I loved this book, as well as all the other Tamora Pierce novels.

Where you discover how heroes are human too, and how shooting above expectations can be like draging weights. With a new burden every week, and her body and world changing, the much admired heroine is suddenly jostled to find that even though she had proved her abilities, life wasn't going to be any easier. People don't drop prejudices easily, and often become stubborner when proven wrong.
