Haley's the new girl on the block and she's determined to turn her life around and be popular in her new school. The only thing getting in her way is her sometimes out-of-control psychokinetic powers, but after she manages to control them a bit more, they prove to be an advantage and she finds herself the new Queen Bee of the school.

Enter Alexa, the newer new girl who also just happens to have the same special power as Haley. But Alexa doesn't mind using her power for bad purposes, like embarrassing other people especially Haley. Pretty soon it's an all-out cat fight for popularity.

Haley manages to stay the "good" girl, even when she stoops to Alexa's level (she just does it in a nicer way). By the end of the book, Haley has found out who her real friends are and has worked out a compromise with the "evil" Alexa. The mystery of why these two girls look so similar and have the same power is hinted at, sure to drive readers to the next book in the series.

Queen Bee is just the first novel from the new Graphix imprint from Scholastic, so expect to see more comic-style books to come. Recommended for ages 9 and up.

Omg this was one of the best books I've ever read and I've read A LOT of books. I can't wait for the next one. I love the supernatural and suspense that Chynna Clugston added. I really do recommend this book to girls (and guys) age 8 and up.

The book is about a teenage girl starting at new school after she moved. She's studied hard so she can be somewhat popular. She becomes popular in a clique and ditches some true friends. Later, when a new girl arrives she feels left out. She finds out that both the girls have magical powers. It's really funny and just great to read.
