Sometimes, a special girl hears a call and is magicked from her everyday life to be transformed into a dragon and go on a quest in another world. Rani is helping out at a theater production when she hears a strange song and - poof - she's sent to another world and transformed into a magical dragon to complete an important mission.

This volume features all the same awesome traits of the Dragon Girls series. What's better than having a dragon? Becoming the dragon of course! With magical powers and cute questies companions (foresty-magical critters that always have a kind word and a smile), this book is straight out of every little girl's daydreams. I really enjoyed Rani, and how her experience working as a stage hand helped her on her quest. As a special edition, this book is a little longer than the standard Dragon Girls book and includes bonus end materials such as a dragon type test and a fan quiz. Great for young readers just getting in to chapter books.
